The first-place Queretaro Desperados took on the El Ray Vampiros in front of a spirited crowd.
Queretaro rode a decent outing from starter Manny Flores to victory over the El Ray Vampiros. The final score was 5-4. Vincente Ruíz earned save number 21 this season.
In the bottom of the fourth, Queretaro right fielder Alejandro Olivares had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Olivares stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 4-2, Queretaro. For the game, he was 2-3 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Olivares told reporters after the game.
