The Zapopan Torrenas tallied a win at Torrenas Ballpark, throttling the Ecatepec Morelos, 5-0. Starting pitcher Tony Alvarado was a big reason for his team's success. Alvarado, now 10-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Zapopan leads the Zona Norte by 7½ games.

David Pérez had a big 2-run double for the Torrenas in the bottom of the third inning.
