The Azua Zafiros Blanco beat the Puerto Plata Playas Dorada, 8-3, at Ballpark of Puerto Plata. Juan Morales belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. The two-time Outstanding Hitter Award winner was a menace to Puerto Plata all day. With the win, the Zafiros Blanco hiked their record to 16-8.

It could have been a different outcome for Azua, had it not been for Francisco López, the two-time Glove Wizard Award winner . López contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Azua up, 1-0.

Morales told a Azua Daily News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
