Playas Dorada Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Zafiros Blanco, 3-1
The Azua Zafiros Blanco got a superb performance from pitcher César Rodríguez, but the Puerto Plata Playas Dorada still won the game, 3-1. Rodríguez threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The win puts Puerto Plata at 19-30.

Puerto Plata used the clutch hitting of José Sánchez to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Playas Dorada ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Sánchez, "one at-bat at a time."
