Fairbanks second baseman Suezo Ishihara contributed to his team's 8-7 win over the Taku Winds. Ishihara, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2038 draft, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Grunts. John Bartlett picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. António García was tagged with the loss. The Winds, now 14-28, have lost 12 in a row.

With the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning, pinch hitter Guido Asseldonk delivered big for the Grunts. Fairbanks was trailing 7-6 when he belted a solo home run.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Ishihara told the Fairbanks News.
