Dulihanty Shines in 9-0 London Win
|
A 5-RBI performance from the 25-year old center fielder Noel Dulihanty helped the London Underground beat the Arlington Bureaucrats, 9-0. José Hernández got the win, improving to 11-5. He pitched 8.1 innings, giving up 1 hits and no runs, while striking out 7 and walking 1. The 'W' lifts London's record to 83-56.
With London leading 3-0 in the top of the second, Dulihanty hit a fastball from Mark Stanford for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Underground ahead, 6-0.
Underground manager Jorge Ornelas had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
