Orcas Stick Chinook with 5-0 Loss
|
The Victoria Orcas picked up a win at Saint Petersburg Grounds, knocking off the Portland Chinook, 5-0. Starting pitcher Ross Harris was a big reason why. Harris went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 6, and struck out 4. His record improves to 7-6. Senichi Kubota closed it out for his 2nd save.
Glenn McIntyre made an early impact for Victoria when he stroked his 28th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which came with one out in the bottom of the third, put the Orcas on top, 4-0.
"Good win for us," said McIntyre. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
Victoria has a record of 57-60, placing them 4th in the Humboldt.
