Bell Powers Winds to 6-5 Win
The Taku Winds trumped the Whitehorse Explorers, 6-5, at Sullivan Brothers Stadium. Taku catcher Harry Bell was terrific. He went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times. The winner in relief was Roberto Cervantes. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 4-0. António García finished to wrap up his 3rd save.

With a runner on 1st and one out in the bottom of the fourth inning, designated hitter Zhi-xin Gui delivered big for the Winds. Taku was trailing 4-2 when he belted a 2-run home run.

"I know we have our doubters," said Whitehorse manager Larry Martin. "But I still have high hopes for this team."

The Winds raised their record to 24-49.
