The Fairbanks Grunts racked up a win at Ballpark of Cave Springs, bumping off the Sitka Capitals, 8-2. Félix González, who started for Fairbanks, pitched effectively for his team. The winning pitcher was González, now 2-3. He tossed 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 7. Albert Serrano notched his 2nd save in 2 chances.

The Grunts got a big at-bat from designated hitter Vicente Cortés. For the game, Cortés went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2.
