Explorers Cut Down Mighty Moose, 6-0
|
Bernardo Peña pitched a gem to lead Whitehorse to victory over the Anchorage Mighty Moose, 6-0. The Explorers now have a record of 54-46.
The Explorers got an important contribution from first baseman Fletcher Henderson, who in the top of the first punched a first pitch cutter into left for a 2-run home run. It was his 26th home run of the season and put the Explorers ahead, 3-0.
Henderson said his team "played with determination."
