Thoroughbreds Suffer 3-1 Setback
|
The Scottish Claymores had to overcome a fine effort from Kentucky pitcher Sa-yoor Chang to grab a narrow 3-1 win at The Castle. Chang went 7.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. Scottish has a record of 50-25, placing them first in the Imperial League Trans Atlantic.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, center fielder Jackson Wiley came through big-time for the Claymores. With Scottish trailing 1-0, he belted a solo home run.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Wiley said.
