The Sacramento Deltas faced a tough opponent in Victoria pitcher Mark Powers, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Saint Petersburg Grounds by a final score of 5-1. Powers went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. José Valdéz earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 6-7. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Sacramento.

Sacramento took a 2-1 lead on Tony Velázquez's 23rd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Victoria pitcher Ramiro Ruíz in the top of the eighth.
