Wardens Bump Off Arsenal, 6-4

The Taipei Wardens put one in the win column on Opening Day at Taipei Tianmu Baseball Stadium. The Wardens defeated the Kure Arsenal, 6-4. Taipei first baseman Armando Rúbio was instrumental in his team's success. He went 2-3 with 2 triples. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The winning pitcher was Anthony Lee. He's now 1-0. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits for the Wardens. Marc Price earned the save for Taipei, his 1st of the year.
The Wardens got a big at-bat from right fielder Gabriel Gusmán. For the game, Gusmán was 2-4 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 times. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Taipei a 2-1 lead.
