Edo Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Edo rode a good effort from starter Carlos Sánchez to beat the Gwangju Jade Tigers at Newark Grounds. The final score was 3-2. The win belongs to Brad Robinson in relief. His record improves to 2-0. David Carlisle took the loss for Gwangju. Gwangju is 2-5 after the loss.
The Battousai were down to their final out when center fielder Eric Constable turned a 1-2 fastball from David Carlisle into a 2-run single. The walk-off single made the Newark Grounds crowd go wild.
"If we keep winning the close games," Constable said, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
