Huffman Plays Big Role in Kyoto Win
|
The Kyoto Rodan picked up a win at Kaiju Coliseum, knocking off the Shizuoka Anguirus, 4-1. Starting pitcher Jonathan Huffman was a big reason why. Juan Pérez, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 19th save. Kyoto is now 44-22, while Shizuoka is 33-33.
Huffman ran roughshod over the Shizuoka lineup. The left-hander allowed just 3 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 7. With the victory, he goes to 8-2 on the season.
"Good win for us," said Huffman. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
