The Lincoln Emancipation picked up a win at Puckmen Ballpark, taking down the Namuko Puckmen, 3-2. Starting pitcher Sergio Vélez was a big reason why. Lincoln, now 21-58, holds down last place in the Rocky Mountain League North.

The result might have been different for Lincoln, had it not been for David Padilla, the 23-year old second baseman . Padilla stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put Lincoln up, 3-2. For the game, he had 2 doubles and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"Nothing's come easy this year for us," said Vélez. "Just glad we took this one."
