The Gatineau Balloonists had to overcome a fine effort from Kumamoto pitcher Todd Miller to grab a narrow 3-2 win at Ballonists Ballpark. Miller went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. With the win, the Balloonists improved to 34-44.

Darren Curran was the walk-off hero for Gatineau. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Balloonists second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Curran said.
