Drillers Snatch Late Win
The Medicine Hat Drillers faced a tough opponent in Hamilton pitcher Cliff Couch, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Hamilton Grounds by a final score of 5-0. Couch went 7 innings and allowed no runs. Medicine Hat pitcher Curtis Casas got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Lorenzo Martínez got the loss. The second-place Drillers go to 46-46.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the top of the eighth inning. That's when shortstop Jorge Reyes hit a triple. The Drillers went on to win.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Reyes told the Medicine Hat Gazette.
