Onryou Bounce Olympians, 5-1
|
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Nagano Olympians take on the Gakidou Onryou.
Starting pitcher Martín González was a major factor in the 5-1 Gakidou Onryou triumph over the Nagano Olympians. González, now 6-6, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 9, walking 2, and allowing no runs.
The Onryou got a big at-bat from left fielder Donny Roks, who in the top of the first hit a run-scoring double. It was his 14th double of the season and put the Onryou on top, 1-0.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Roks said.
Their 45-37 record puts the Onryou first in the Baja Cali League Japanese.
