Pineapples Take Nail-Biter Over Mahi-Mahi
|
The Lana'i City Pineapples stopped the Maui Mahi-Mahi, 6-5, at Dole Park. The Pineapples got a big game from Ron Whitaker, who went 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Pineapples, at 14-26, sit in 5th place in the Hawaiian League Archipelago.
The Pineapples procured the win, in large part because of right fielder Dennis McCamley. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said McCamley. "And not try to do too much."
