Eric Nelson never let Taipei get something going. The Kuwana left-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Steel Dragons to a 4-1 win. Kuwana, at 56-46, holds down third place in the Trinity.

Dave Dundee dealt the Wardens a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Kuwana leading 1-0, Dundee, who finished 4th in the HUM in stolen bases with 50 last year, hit a 1-2 slider for a run-scoring triple.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Kuwana manager Steve Fergus.
