Alleghenies Raise Rally Flag, Beat New Orleans, 2-0
The West Virginia Alleghenies got a stellar performance from pitcher Manny Gracía, who handcuffed the New Orleans offense en route to a win, 2-0, at New Frontier Park. West Virginia pitcher Gustavo Hernández got the win. He's now 6-4. Lewis Uige was tagged with the loss. Earning his 28th save for West Virginia was José López.

West Virginia used a timely hit from Elton Williams to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Alleghenies ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"Not everyone likes pitching duels," said Gracía. "But I do."

The win puts the Alleghenies at 87-59, while the Trendsetters drop to 53-94.
