Zephyrs Topple Akira, 4-0
|
Reno used a superb performance from starting pitcher Toby Ayers to down the Neo-Tokyo Akira, 4-0. With the win, Reno pushed its record to 55-33.
It could have been a different outcome for Reno, had it not been for Ricardo Losa, the fan favorite . Losa contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Reno up, 3-0.
"Toby is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Reno manager António Morales.
