Gohueng Rallies Past Gimpo, 4-3
|
The Gohueng Gom scored a tight 4-3 win versus the Gimpo Gorillas at Gohueng Grounds. Gohueng pitcher Alberto Cota held his own in the contest. Gohueng reliever Donald Greene picked up the win, while Soetsu Sasaki took the loss for Gimpo. Gohueng is sitting pretty at 44-18.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Gohueng trailing 3-2, Ryoma Takahashi jumped on a 2-1 changeup from Soetsu Sasaki for a 2-run home run, sending the Gom to a walk-off win.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Sakutaro Fujii.
