Brisbane left fielder Ning-qing Lee picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Wagga Wagga Crows, 6-5. Brisbane reliever Taizo Tamura picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Munro Torr was saddled with the loss. The Stevedores are now 14-20, while the Crows fall to 23-11.
Brisbane won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and Munro Torr on the mound for Wagga Wagga, designated hitter Rusty Dwyer hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Stevedores fans to their feet.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Dwyer said.
