Tight Tilt Goes to Bitters, 3-2

The Melbourne Bitters picked up a win at Victoria Field, knocking off the Sunshine Coast Crocodile Hunters, 3-2. Starting pitcher Benedict Kimball was a big reason why. Katsuhiko Hashimoto got credit for the save for Melbourne. It was his 12th of the year. The win puts the Bitters at 31-14, while the Crocodile Hunters drop to 20-25.
Making an impact for the home team was Kichibei Kouki. In the bottom of the second, the 19-year old left fielder had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 2-0, Bitters.
"Good win for us," said Kimball. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
