Stevedores Beat Devils, 3-2

The Brisbane Stevedores defeated the Hobart Devils, 3-2, in Intercontinental Baseball Coalition action at The Ship Yard. Brisbane pitcher Zhong-shan Chao had a standout performance. Chao went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-1. Brisbane has now won 4 games in a row.
Mitsuoki Ishikawa had an important at-bat with two out in the bottom of the fifth, when he hit a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put Brisbane on top, 3-0.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Hobart manager Suezo Iwata. "But we decided not to take it."
