The Wagga Wagga Crows overcame a fine performance by Melbourne designated hitter Ton Missel to defeat the Bitters, 7-4, at Victoria Field. Missel was 2 for 2 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was Connor Quine. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. He now owns a record of 3-0. Wagga Wagga bumps their record to 34-25 with the win.

A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the fifth inning when the Crows sent teenager Jesús Alfaro to the plate against Bitters hurler David Milbank. With runners on 1st and 3rd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a 1-0 splitter to score 1.
