Ine Lifts Stevedores to 11-2 Triumph
Stevedores center fielder Kantaro Ine put his stamp on his team's 11-2 win over the Tauranga Taniwha. Ine was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for Brisbane in the contest. Graham Geary was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 1 run on 2 hits, with 3 walks and 8 strikeouts. Luis Montoya earned the save for Brisbane, his 1st of the year.

Ine put Brisbane up, 4-0, when he hit a 3-run home run off Jeremy Parker in the top of the first. His 11th home run of the season helped the Stevedores capture the win.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Ine. "And not try to do too much."

The Stevedores saw their win-loss record go to 31-28. At the same time, the Taniwha fell to 18-41.
