Duba K-O Tycoons, 3-0
|
The Kabsabet Duba got a stellar performance from pitcher Billy Petersen, who handcuffed the Port Sudan offense en route to a win, 3-0, at Plano Grounds. Petersen went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-0. Jonathan Winkley got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
Kabsabet relied on the bat of Jack Tate to get the win. The right fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Duba ahead, 2-0. For the game, Tate had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"I feel honored to be a part of this team," said Tate.
Port Sudan drops to 1-5.
