Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Pirates
Led by Andrew Thompson, the Mogadishu Pirates downed the Port Sudan Tycoons, 7-4. Thompson was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Pirates. The save went to Robbie Lane, his 13th this season. The second-place Pirates improved to 29-20.

Mogadishu used the clutch hitting of Aiden MacChrystal to capture the win. The catcher drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pirates ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," MacChrystal told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
