The Addis Ababa Rifters got a superb performance from pitcher Shuan-yan Ts'ong, but the Kabsabet Duba still won the game, 4-3. Ts'ong threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Kabsabet pitcher Yo Miura got the win, upping his record to 6-0. Javier Torres got the loss. Kabsabet, at 56-26, is 3 games up in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Red Sea League.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Kabsabet trailing 3-2, Nobuhisa Omori hit a fastball from Javier Torres for a 2-run home run, giving the Duba the walk-off win.
"On the outside I was calm," said Duba manager Tanosuke Kouda. "But inside I was a nervous wreck."
