Modernists Lose to Raiders in Walk Off
With left fielder Takashi Iitsuka leading the charge, the Khartoum Raiders defeated the Asmara Modernists, 17-15, at Haboob Field. Iitsuka went 1-1 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Blaine Morgan picked up the win. His record improves to 2-2. Jay degruchy took the loss. Khartoum's record now stands at 46-41, placing them 4th in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Red Sea League.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Khartoum trailing 15-14, Orlando Figueroa hit a slider from Jay degruchy for a 3-run home run, giving the Raiders the walk-off win.

"They're fun to watch and the hitters get to pad their stats but nobody's really happy about a game like that," Khartoum manager Andy Hood. "I promise you I'm not happy."
