Pacos Deal Mamajuanas 6-5 Loss
The Puerto Plata Pacos wiggled past the Punta Cana Mamajuanas, 6-5, at Safeway Grounds. The win was highlighted by the performance of Puerto Plata designated hitter Brad Saunders. Puerto Plata reliever Yoshinori Mori picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. António Colón took the loss. Mario Beyeman collected save number 1.

Saunders had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a first pitch fastball from António Colón, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Pacos a 6-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Saunders.

"We played hard and won," said Saunders. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'

The Pacos raised their record to 3-8.
