Bridgetown rode a good effort from starter Francisco Díaz to beat the Aruba Wahoos at The Fish Bowl. The final score was 5-1. Díaz went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 4, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-0. Pat Clark finished the game for Bridgetown and earned his 1st save.
Takafumi Samurakami put Bridgetown in front, 3-0, when he hit a 2-run home run off Marco Olazbal in the top of the sixth. It was his 10th home run of the season.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Flying Fish manager Norio Heida, "I like our chances."
At 17-6, the Flying Fish are currently first in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Paradise League.
