Behind an impressive start by Jesús Rivas, Punta Cana beat Puerto Plata, 7-0. Baltesar Cast was credited with the save for Punta Cana, his 1st of the season. Punta Cana has a record of 15-18, placing them 5th in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Paradise League.

Punta Cana used the timely hitting of Katsumoto Ito to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Mamajuanas ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Feels good to get the job done," Rivas said after the game.
