Takafumi Samurakami was a vital contributor to the 6-2 Bridgetown victory over Port Royal. The Flying Fish second baseman belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Flying Fish improve their record to 27-8 with the win over Port Royal.

The Privateers had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Flying Fish going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 18-year old catcher Luis Castillo came to the plate. Castillo hit a run-scoring double on a 1-0 fastball from Port Royal hurler Pedro Martínez. It was Castillo's 1st double of the year.

"Hitting, winning. It's just contagious," said Castillo.
