Behind a solid performance from second baseman Kichibei Sugiura, the Punta Cana Mamajuanas defeated the Bridgetown Flying Fish, 10-4. Sugiura was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Mamajuanas. Daniel Hernández got the win, improving to 6-1. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Punta Cana is 5th in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Paradise League with a record of 19-23.

The Mamajuanas took the lead in the bottom of the first when Carlos Castro banged a two-out single. Punta Cana had been trailing 3-2, but Castro hit a full count fastball from Iván Martínez for a 2-run single.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Castro said.
