Kentucky beat New Orleans on the strength of starter Roberto Rivera's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-0. With the win, Kentucky raised its record to 55-46.
Rivera gave Kentucky a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 5 hits over 8.2 innings.
"Roberto -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Thoroughbreds manager Paul Conner. "He was the key to us winning."
