The Kuwana Steel Dragons got a good effort from starter Scott Chalmers in defeating the Taipei Wardens at Steelfire Stadium. The final score was 3-2. The win was credited to Ken O'Connor in relief. His record improves to 7-7. Carlos Díaz took the loss. The second-place Steel Dragons are 73-58.

José Reyes was the walk-off hero for Kuwana. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Steel Dragons first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
