Gigans Topple Grizzlies, 14-6, as Norrish Shines
The Niigata Gigans trumped the West Valley City Grizzlies, 14-6, at Ballpark of West Valley City. Niigata second baseman Billy Norrish was terrific. He was 2-4 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The 4th-place Gigans improved to 62-56.

Niigata used the timely hitting of Mei-shio Wang to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Gigans on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame comments to the Niigata Bulletin, Norrish said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
