|
The Lodoss Spell Swords got a superb performance from pitcher Edgardo Blanca. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Seoul. The Crushers won the game, 6-4. Blanca threw 5.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Pedro Torres, the winning pitcher, improved to 12-7. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 4. Iván Hernández got the save, his 23rd in 28 chances.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Hisamitsu Kamimura? The Seoul third baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Crushers on top, 5-4. For the game, Kamimura had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We ground out the win," said Kamimura. "That's all that matters."
With the win, Seoul pushed its record to 64-44.
