Phantoms Topple Hoods, 13-6, as Ramos Shines
The Toronto Phantoms knocked off the Sherwood Park Hoods, 13-6, at Phantoms Ballpark. Rafael Ramos was a big reason Toronto won. The designated hitter was 3-5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. Toronto reliever Masujiro Ohayashi got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Gustavo Peñaflor was tagged with the loss. Mark Thomas got credit for the save for Toronto. It was his 2nd of the year.

Toronto took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Ramos hit a 3-run home run. His 18th home run of the season made the score 6-3, Toronto.

"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Ramos said in postgame remarks.

At 72-39, Toronto is in first place in the Pacific Alliance Maple Leaf.
