6-2 Loss Extends New Orleans Skid
|
The Florida Farstriders knocked off the New Orleans Trendsetters, 6-2, at New Frontier Park. Jacob Gill was a big reason Florida won. The right fielder was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs. The slumping Trendsetters have dropped 6 in a row.
Vito van Wondel, the slugging third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. van Wondel contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Florida up, 2-0.
"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Alfredo Vega told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
