Paek Stars in 4-2 Stone Brews Win

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The exploits of first baseman Kun Paek, who is tied for 3rd in the BCL in total bases with 205, helped the Escondido Stone Brews defeat the Takaoka Shiko, 4-2. Paek went 3-4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Eugenio Rodríguez earned the win to go to 2-3. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. Allen Wilson earned save number 21 this season.
Escondido used a well-timed hit by John Myers to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Stone Brews ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Paek said.
Escondido now sits at 45-60, while Takaoka falls to 55-50.
