No matter what the Kure Arsenal threw at him today, Tony Torres hit it. He easily handled Arsenal pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Wardens to a 7-2 triumph at Taipei Tianmu Baseball Stadium.

"The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Torres's quip, Arsenal skipper Jake Lee said he "would take him up on that next time."

Tony Torres singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Ed Moore in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

For the year Torres is hitting .269 with 9 home runs. His stats include 49 RBI and 77 runs scored.
