Steel Dragons Suffer 1-0 Setback
Taipei Wardens starter Van Frazier turned in a top-notch performance against the Kuwana Steel Dragons at Taipei Tianmu Baseball Stadium. The result was a win for the Wardens, 1-0. Taipei reliever Tom Dodd picked up the win, while Hubert Jacobs took the loss for Kuwana. The 4th-place Wardens now have a win-loss record of 66-79.

Had Mike Clifton not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Clifton hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Wardens.

Clifton said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."
