The Thornton Sun Dogs topped the Niigata Gigans, 6-3, in Rocky Mountain League action at Sun Dog Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Thornton pitcher Anthony MacDonald. MacDonald went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 6-8. The win puts the Sun Dogs at 48-84, while the Gigans drop to 70-62.
