The Port Royal Privateers went home winners at Soufriere Hills Park, thanks in large part to starter Pedro Martínez. Martínez stifled the Montserrat Mystique, enabling Port Royal to grab the 2-1 win. The winner was Wes Lee in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Garland Scott took the loss. Aaron Gamble got the save, the 8th for him this season.

The result might have been different for Port Royal, had it not been for Juan Zamora, the 20-year old shortstop . Zamora stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put Port Royal up, 2-1. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Martínez.

The Privateers move to 24-36 with the win, while the Mystique drop to 20-40.
