Martínez Goes Distance in 9-1 Win
The Bridgetown Flying Fish topped the Punta Cana Mamajuanas, 9-1, in Intercontinental Baseball Coalition action at Kensington. The game was highlighted by the performance of Bridgetown pitcher Iván Martínez. At 44-18, the Flying Fish have a slim two-game lead in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Paradise League.

Martínez, a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was dealing all game. He kept Punta Cana hitters off-balance, while giving the Flying Fish 9 quality innings. Martínez threw 112 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 8.

"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Martínez told the Bridgetown Daily.
